In advance of November 30, this communication provides important information on the first of six trials, related to the death of Freddie Gray, against Officer William Porter; and Baltimore Police Department (BPD) preparations.
For the trial, the very general timeline that can be expected for the trial is as follows:
– Voir Dire (Jury Selection) – 3 days (estimated Nov 30 – Dec 02)
– Trial Activity – 5 days (estimated Dec 03 – Dec 09)
– Jury Deliberation – Unknown (estimated beginning Dec 10 – unknown)
As with any trial, there are myriad circumstances that could significantly alter this timeline.
Intelligence to date suggests scheduled protests in front of the Court House, for tomorrow. BPD has established an Incident Command Center for tomorrow and has plans to initiate the Joint Information Center, if necessary.
