COUNCILMAN COSTELLO JOINS MAYOR RAWLINGS-BLAKE TO ANNOUNCE ROLLBACK OF PROPOSED CIRCULATOR BUDGET CUTS
Baltimore, MD (July 6, 2015) – Councilman Eric T. Costello (11th District) today thanked Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake for announcing the City has found funding to maintain the Charm City Circulator’s Banner Route and avoid most other proposed cuts to the system. Tonight’s announcement was the culmination of months of efforts and tireless advocacy by Councilman Costello to reverse proposed budget cuts and restore funding to the Circulator System. Read more

Obergefell v Hodges – SCOTUS – June 2015 Marriage Equality Decision
As June 2015 comes to a close, I am particularly proud to be an American, a Marylander, and a Baltimorean. June is LGBTQ Pride month, and in this past month – among other landmark decisions – the Supreme Court of the United States of America ruled that same-sex couples have a fundamental right to marriage. This is a realization of the constitutional tenets of freedom, equality, and justice laid down by our Founding Fathers and echoed by countless American patriots, many of whom hailed from our own hometown. COUNCILMEMBERS COSTELLO AND CLARKE ADDRESS ISSUES WITH SUNPLUS DELIVERY
SunPlus Issues
Councilmembers Eric Costello and Mary Pat-Clarke met with SunPlus in mid-June to discuss ongoing concerns with the delivery of the SunPlus weekly. Specifically, we discussed numerous and relatively consistent complaints related to the delivery of the SunPlus: the publication laying on the sidewalk and looking like trash, piles of the publication indicating a vacant property or owner that is out of town, and concerns that when individuals call or email SunPlus asking it to place them on the “Do Not Deliver” list, SunPlus frequently fails to do so.
