2016 – 2017 YOUTH SNOW REMOVAL PROGRAM FOR SENIORS

The Department of Transportation would like to inform you that it is launching its Youth Snow Program again this year.  Through the program, DOT will pair Baltimore City residents who are either over the age of 65 or who are physically unable to shovel their snow due to a disability/medical issue with a student between the ages of 14 and 21 who will assist the resident with removing snow from the public right of ways adjacent to the resident’s property. “COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM” (AIR SURVEILLANCE PILOT BY BPD)

I was very surprised this week to learn about the “Community Support Program” (air surveillance program currently being piloted by BPD), reading about it on Bloomberg as virtually everyone else did. While the use of new technologies is essential in aiding BPD in the crime fight, seeking public input and protecting our privacy is of great concern to me. Read more
